Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Ability to complete a pre-employment background check, breath alcohol test, and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
- This is a sensitive/safety-sensitive position and is subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
- 8 years of progressive and relevant experience.
- Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following structural design software:
- STAAD or STAADPro
- Analyzing complex structures
- Wind and seismic loading in structural calculations
- Concrete and foundation design
- Computer modeling and analysis experience.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Professional Engineer license or certification preferred but not required.
- Any pre-screening/tests required (not including standard background/clearance checks).
- Performing hand and computer calculations for foundations, concrete, and steel structures.
- Advanced knowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials.
- Demonstrated experience managing and leading large projects.
- Proficiency with project set-up, development of control-level schedules, progress reporting and project close-out.
- Practical field experience.
- EPC project experience for the following industries:
- U.S Department of Defense or other U.S. Federal Government Agency
- Manufacturing, pharmaceutical or biotechnology
