CICONIX, LLC is seeking a LogisticSupport Specialist with experience in logistics, facility management and administrative functions such as acquisition, inventory, property accountability, and warehouse management to support the National Museum of Health and Medicine (NMHM).
About The Role
- SupportstheNMHMLogisticsManagementSupervisorinfunctionalareastoincludelogistics, facility services, safety, physical security, event planning, and administrative support.
- Assistswithwarehouseinventoryandexcessmanagement,as directed.
- Supportsindoorandoutdooreventsetup/teardownensuringchairs,tables,tents,andothersupport equipment is available and properly inventoried, cleaned and returned to its designated storage location.
- MonitorsandpreparesupplyreplenishmentrequestsforallFirstAidstations,AutomatedExternal Deliberator (AED’s), Torniquet stations, fire extinguishers, and general supply requirements within both buildings.
- Weekly/monthlycheckforserviceabilityandsigninspectiontagsofalleyewashesandfire extinguishers.
- Performs,dailyRandom-AccessMeasure(RAMs)securitysurveillanceroundsinandaroundboth buildings in the morning and before leaving, looking for safety, security, mechanical issues, or unsafe conditions.
- Performsmonthlypanic buttontestsincoordinationwith PMO.
- Escort,monitor,andassistcontractorsandvisitorsasneeded,i.e.,provideaccessforinspection visits, facility work etc.
- Afterweekly/monthlytestingofeachbuilding,documentallbackupgeneratorfuellevelsprovided by the maintenance contractor.
- Knowledge and expert proficiency using Microsoft Office 365 products to include Excel, PowerPoint,Outlook,Word,Publisher,AccessandDMLSStoenter/retrievedataandcreateand update work products. Have a functional working knowledge of TEAMs.
- Actively participate in internal and external meetings regarding space utilization and building maintenanceissuesandassistcoordinatingspacemanagementrequirementsforoffice,storage,or special use space.
- Routinely inspect buildings for cleanliness, lighting, temperature control, maintenance, safety, securityissues,andreportproblemstotheSupervisor.Asrequired,liaisonwiththemaintenance contractor, to communicate, call in, or email messages to schedule or create service tickets for service support.
- Enter/retrievefacilityprojectdataintoMSExcelspreadsheetsandDefenseMedicalLogistics Standard Support System (DMLSS), Facilities Module to track facility project status, prioritization, and related issues.
- Activelyparticipateininternalandexternalmeetingsregardingspaceutilizationandbuilding maintenance issues and assist to resolve space utilization and building maintenance issues.
- Performsmarketresearchandpreparesacquisitiondocumentationforrequirements,as directed.
- Open and close buildings 2500 and 178 as directed.
- Receivevisitors/contractors,as directed.
- Performsroutineinspectionsofbuildings,monitoringcleanliness,lighting,temperature,safetyetc. and report problems. May include staffing and reporting of entry/exit points to ensure appropriate coordination of those entering or exiting structures.
- Receivesrequestsfromstaffforalterations,repairsorminorconstructionandmeetswith appropriate staff members to understand the scope of the project.
- Reviewsdrawings,materialsandequipmentproposalstoassessfairandreasonableestimatesprior to project initiation.
- AssisttheFacilityManagertoensurecontractorsworkwithinmuseumestablishedguidelinesto safeguard and ensure minimal impact on artifacts and visitor experience.
- AssiststheFacilityManagerorganizing,schedulingandcontrollingmaintenanceactivities maximizing building functionality and minimizing disruption to Museum operations.
- AssisttheFacilityManagerensuringcontractor’sworkisIAWMuseumestablishedguidelines and minimal impact on artifacts and visitor experience.

- Bachelor’sdegreeinFacilityManagement,SupplyChainManagement,orsimilar advanced studies.
- Four (4) years’ experience gained through performing, logistics, facility management, and administrative functions; consisting of, but not limited to, acquisition, inventory, property accountability, and warehouse management.
- Prepares operating procedures to develop, administer, monitor, and coordinate a wide variety of logistics and maintenance actions.
- Strong knowledge of acquisition management, property accountability, receiving, warehouse management, and the electrical and or mechanical trades, safety, security, and standard customer service practices.
- Experienceapplyingacomprehensiverangeoffacilityoperations,principles,concepts,andpracticeswith complicated technical requirements, evaluate customer requests for facility repair, maintenance, safety,and security.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and strong customer serviceskills.
- Knowledge and expert proficiency using Microsoft Office365 products to include Excel, Power Point, Word, Publisher, Access and have proven experience using the Defense Medical Logistics Standard System (DMLSS) to input, manipulate, and retrieve data and information relative to logistics and facility management activities.
- U.S. Citizenship and a successful background investigation are required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Willingness to comply with the g overnment vaccination requirements.
- Occasional travel may be required.
