What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Assistant position at CIA WHEEL GROUP?
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, supports daily accounting operations by performing a variety of administrative and financial tasks. Applies foundational accounting principles to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintenance of financial records, and assistance with accounts payable and reconciliation activities. Provides ongoing support to the Accountant and contributes to the efficiency of overall accounting functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Communicate with vendors regarding service agreements, payment status, and updates to Certificates of Insurance (COI).
- Maintain vendor records, including tracking and filing business licenses and compliance documentation.
- Assist with and update assigned account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external accounts payable inquiries via phone and email.
- Support month-end closing activities and provide documentation as requested.
- Perform general administrative and accounting support tasks as assigned.
