The High School Bible Teacher is responsible for providing biblical instruction to 12th-grade students, fostering their spiritual growth, and encouraging a strong Christian worldview. This role involves creating and implementing a curriculum aligned with the church and school's mission and values, and engaging students in meaningful, age-appropriate learning experiences.
Requirements / Qualifications
Develop and implement a comprehensive Bible curriculum that covers key biblical principles, stories, and teachings. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students. Integrate a Christian worldview into all aspects of teaching and classroom activities. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages spiritual growth and character development. Provide individual support and guidance to students, addressing their spiritual, academic, and emotional needs. Encourage and facilitate student participation in discussions, activities, and projects that deepen their understanding of biblical concepts. Assess and evaluate student progress through various assessment methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and class participation. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance and spiritual development. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievements through RenWeb, Google Classroom, etc. Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administrators to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to education. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and any concerns. Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events. Stay current with developments in biblical scholarship and educational best practices. Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge. Reflect on personal teaching practices and seek opportunities for growth and improvement. Serve as a positive Christian role model for students, demonstrating integrity, compassion, and a commitment to faith. Lead students in prayer, devotions, and other spiritual activities.
