What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Needs Child Caregiver - Overnight in Caregivers Home position at Christian Servants Home Care, LLC?
This is a great position for someone who is energized by working with children who are developmentally and/or behaviorally challenged. The kids we serve are in need of compassionate care for a wide variety of things such as autism, ADHD, anxiety, speech, and cognitive delay. They thrive on things like mentorship, social involvement, coaching to overcome daily challenges, and the positive attention an experienced adult can provide. Additionally, your involvement offers the parents of these children an opportunity to recharge.
We currently have an opening for an overnights in the caregivers home. Please note that most shifts will be 24 hour shifts on the weekends.
We are a full service, non-medical, in home care organization supporting our clients by providing such things as respite, supportive home care, mentorship, daily living skills training, general companionship, meal preparation, transportation, housekeeping, medication reminders and more. We always pay our Caregivers ABOVE MARKET WAGES because we know they are the ones that make the difference in these families' lives.
REQUIREMENTS
* Experience providing related caregiving services: 1 Year
* Must pass background check (caregiver and any adults residing in the home where the overnights will be taking place)
* Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
* Must have a reliable vehicle with insurance
* Must have reliable phone with texting capability and voicemail
* Must have mobile internet access for timekeeping
* Must be compassionate
* Must be consistently reliable and punctual
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Caregiving: 2 years
* Experience working with special needs children: 1 year
* CPR/First Aid Certification
