Christian Brothers Outdoor Services is hiring an experienced Tree Climber to join our growing Tree Division in Grant, MI.
We are looking for someone with hands-on tree care experience who can safely climb, prune, trim, and assist with removals. The right person is hardworking, reliable, safety-minded, and comfortable working as part of a crew.
Responsibilities
- Safely climb trees using proper equipment, ropes, saddles, and climbing techniques
- Perform tree pruning, trimming, removals, and cleanup
- Assist with rigging, lowering limbs, and controlled removals
- Operate or assist with bucket truck work when needed
- Use chainsaws, pole saws, chippers, ropes, and other tree care equipment safely
- Follow all jobsite safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Help protect customer property, lawns, landscapes, and structures
- Work with crew members to complete jobs safely and efficiently
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Qualifications
- Previous tree climbing, tree care, pruning, trimming, or removal experience
- Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Experience with chainsaws, ropes, rigging, chippers, and bucket trucks preferred
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform demanding work
- Safety-focused and dependable
- Able to work well with a team
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- CDL, ISA certification, or arboriculture training is a plus, but not required
