What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Womens Minister position at Christ Chapel Bible Church?
Role’s Mission:
The College Campus’ focus and proximity to the lost create numerous evangelistic and shepherding opportunities geared to all levels of new and emerging faith (including pre-emergent faith).
The Associate Minister is uniquely positioned to engage college-aged young women with a desire to introduce them to Christ, disciple them to mature faith in Christ, and launch them into gospel-oriented ministry within their own sphere of influence.
Christ Chapel’s Mission:

Role’s Reporting Relationship: This position reports directly to the Christ Chapel College Minister.
Role’s Responsibilities:
The role of the Associate Minister
- Strategic outreach to college students in Fort Worth, through relationship, events or various connections.
- Strategic shepherding of college women that includes both relationship building and intentional spiritual growth.
- Participates in recruitment, evaluation, and spiritual development of our student leadership team.
- Develops and nurtures the ministry gifting in student leaders so they are equipped to share the gospel, disciple others, and do the work of ministry.
- Participates in all areas of Christ Chapel College ministry that may include discipling students, leading small groups, planning and executing events, and building the culture.
- Maintain an ongoing understanding and sensitivity to the current college woman’s lived experience, felt needs, and biblically articulated needs in order to influence the events/programming/discipleship models offered by Christ Chapel College. (Developing an expert knowledge of the current needs of college young women.)
Key Support:
- Support the PAC
- Support the College Ministry in shepherding young women
- Support the College Ministry events and programming
Personal Qualities/Giftings
Cultural Fluency
- Preferably someone with proximity to the college life-stage.
- They have specific knowledge and experience with the cultural issues known to TCU college students.
- They have some relational favor with college-aged students. This is an outgoing person, viewed as trustworthy, approachable, and relatable.
Executive Function
- They demonstrate a willingness to learn all aspects of ministry event planning. This includes the ability to envision a culturally appropriate event, to strategize and plan the tasks, to delegate, and to successfully implement.
Team Player
- They are willing and eager to participate with a team for the purposes of the ministry, which may include investing in areas outside of their gifting or interests.
- They can be flexible as required in a consistently changing ministry.
- They demonstrate humility that is eager to learn and grow, and a willingness to submit to the wisdom and experience of other team members.
Roles Requirements:
- Of Character
- Must be a Christian with an Elder-qualified character (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9)
- Must be a maturing believer who is obviously, consistently and increasingly manifesting the fruit of the Spirit in his daily walk with Christ (Galatians 5:22-23)
- Must embrace Christ Chapel's doctrinal position and constitution without reservation and be an advocate of our philosophy of ministry both in public and in private
- Must embrace a work philosophy of planning and delivering biblically-appropriate, God-honoring, grace-based outcomes
- Must have a demonstrated "heart for people"
- Must be a joy to supervise (Hebrews 13:17)
- Of Calling
- Must sense a calling primarily toward shepherding people within the local church.
- Must sense God’s calling to Christ Chapel, both sides having a sense of His intertwining our hearts and lives together.
- Must have a passion/calling to see college-aged students come to saving faith.
- Of Competence
Spiritual Gift (Rom 12; 1 Cor 12; Eph 4; 1 Pet 4)
- The ideal candidate has spiritual gifts of discernment, exhortation, pastor/shepherd or serving/ministering. Secondarily, the spiritual gift of administration would be helpful in the carrying out of the above on a large scale.
Education
- The completion of a bachelor-level degree from an accredited college is required.
Experience/Philosophy
- Must have served for at least 1 year in a paid ministry role, or volunteer role with significant leadership demands.
- Must have some experience discipling and equipping college students.
Interpersonal attitudes or skills
- An includer, seeking to connect people on the fringe or outside
- A willing and teachable heart for implementing large events and seasonal initiatives
- A track record of initiative
- A track record of flexibility while still accomplishing desired outcomes

- A track record of eagerness to share shepherding responsibilities and to develop student leaders as shepherds. They will guard against territorialism or exclusivity in shepherding.
- A track record of being committed to pursuing intentional relationships with both mature student leaders and the spiritually immature.
- They have ability and experience sharing Biblical truth and applying it to day-to-day living.
- A track record for demonstrating a welcoming, grace-filled heart toward all students.
- A track record for demonstrating an ongoing commitment to Biblical learning, a humble teachable spirit, and a life ordered for ongoing transformation.
- A track record of searching for and building their life on God’s declared truth, and an ever-increasing trust in God’s character.
