What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Engineer - Utility Design position at Choice One Engineering?
Key Responsibilities
- Lead plan production efforts for underground utilities, including water, sewer, and stormwater systems, using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Interact with clients, including local municipalities, ODOT, contractors, and other consulting companies.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to integrate utility designs into overall project plans.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Work closely with other technical staff within Choice One Engineering to provide underground utilities design and consulting engineering services.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- EIT certification
- P.E. license or in the process of obtaining P.E. license
- 3-15 years experience in utility design
- Very responsive and a strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines
- Continuous learning mindset
- Working proficiency of AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
