Tax Map Draftperson 1

Job Overview
We're seeking a detail-oriented individual to manage and maintain our mapping and geographic information systems. You'll create and update maps using CAD and GIS software, review and interpret legal documents, plot parcel boundaries, update property records and aerial imagery, and perform survey calculations. This role also involves assisting the public and other departments with property information and records management.

Duties include:

• Develop and maintain tax, municipal, and property maps using CAD (e.g., AutoCAD) and GIS software. Update digital parcel and property records.
• Interpret deeds, surveys, and plats. Analyze aerial photography and perform related calculations. Research property records.
• Assist the public and other departments with property and mapping inquiries.
• Maintain and analyze GIS databases for land-related information.
• Manage and organize digital and physical records.

Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks performed.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in CADD or GIS is preferred.
