We are seeking a dependable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the hotel, guest rooms, public areas, and equipment to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our guests and employees. The ideal candidate will have experience in general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs with a strong focus on customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and service calls.
- Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues in guest rooms, including televisions, locks, lighting, toilets, sinks, and appliances.
- Complete painting, drywall repairs, caulking, and minor carpentry projects.
- Inspect hotel equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs.
- Maintain swimming pool and spa equipment, if applicable.
- Ensure fire safety systems, emergency lighting, and safety equipment are functioning properly.
- Conduct routine property walks to identify potential hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Assist with room inspections to ensure rooms meet brand standards.
- Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed.
- Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and exterior upkeep when necessary.
- Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred.
- General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues independently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts when needed.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and may be subject to additional testing as permitted by company policy.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and power tools.
