We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Group Manager to oversee operations within our senior care facilities, including assisted living, nursing homes, and memory care communities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in long-term care environments, and a passion for providing compassionate resident-centered care. This role involves managing staff, ensuring quality care delivery, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations to promote a safe and supportive environment for residents with diverse needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, and developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise caregiving staff, including nurses, social workers, and support personnel, ensuring high standards of resident care.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans tailored to residents’ specific needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
- Oversee daily operations of the facility to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Manage budgets, control expenses, and optimize resource allocation to maintain operational excellence.
- Facilitate staff training and professional development to enhance team performance and resident satisfaction.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals for medication administration, health assessments, and emergency response procedures.
- Foster a positive environment that promotes dignity, independence, and quality of life for residents.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards within the facility.
- Maintain open communication with residents’ families regarding care plans and progress.
- Support community engagement initiatives that enhance resident well-being and facility reputation.
Skills
- Extensive experience in senior care settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or retirement homes.
- Proven leadership and management skills with supervisory experience in healthcare or long-term care environments.
- Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and resident’s
management. - Familiarity with developing and implementing individualized care plans aligned with residents’ needs.
- Excellent understanding of operations management including budgeting and financial acumen.
- Experience in medication administration and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills to work effectively with residents, families, staff, and healthcare providers.
- Ability to handle complex situations involving residents with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges.
