The Position SummaryThe Accounting Bookkeeper will support the firm by performing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients across various industries. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple client accounts in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate financial records for assigned clients using QuickBooks Online (QBO) and QuickBooks DesktopPerform bank and credit card reconciliationsPrepare and post journal entries, including adjusting entriesReconcile balance sheet accounts monthlyPrepare sales tax filings and business license renewals (as needed)Generate monthly and quarterly financial statements for review by CPA & EAReview vendor lists and identify 1099 reportable vendorsRequest and maintain W-9 forms from clients and vendorsPrepare annual Forms 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC for assigned clientsCommunicate with clients regarding missing information, account clarifications, and follow-up requestsAssist CPAs with year-end closing and preparation for tax return workpapersSupport other accounting tasks as assignedQualificationsRequired:3-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experienceStrong proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO)Solid understanding of basic accounting principlesProficiency with Microsoft ExcelExcellent attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and manage multiple deadlinesStrong communication and client service skillsPreferred:Prior experience in a CPA firm or multi-client environmentExperience with QuickBooks Desktop, Lacerte, or other accounting/tax applicationsKnowledge of payroll, sales tax filings, or 1099 compliance
