Early Head Start Float

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Early Head Start Float to join our team in Central Falls, RI. The Early Head Start Float will provide support across multiple classrooms, ensuring consistent, high-quality care and education for infants and toddlers enrolled in the Early Head Start program.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support and coverage for Early Head Start teachers and assistants as needed.
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of infants and toddlers.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for children and families.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, families, and program coordinators to support child development and family engagement.
• Assist with documentation, assessments, and reporting in accordance with program standards.
• Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to work flexibly across multiple classrooms and sites.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA or higher education in Early Childhood Education preferred.
