Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Age Before and After School Teacher to join our team in Central Falls, RI. This full-time position involves working split shifts to provide quality care and educational support to school-age children before and after school hours. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic growth of children.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage school-age children during before and after school hours.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support learning and development.
• Ensure a safe and positive environment for all children in the program.
• Assist with homework and provide academic support as needed.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding children’s progress and needs.
• Maintain accurate attendance and activity records.
• Follow all licensing and program policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience working with school-age children in a before and after school setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work split shifts and maintain flexibility in scheduling.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine interest in child development.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in early childhood or education is a plus.

Work Schedule

This position requires working split shifts to cover before school hours and after school hours, totaling between 37.5 and 40 hours per week.
