GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
This Data Management Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and data management of the Children’s Network of Hillsborough programs, which provides a central tracking system for children in out-of-home care, including maintenance of information on provider rates and Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN) data system. This position tracks the changes in placement of children in the Circuit's system of care and alerts appropriate persons of these events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the oversight and daily operation and coordination of Children’s Network of Hillsborough functions.
- Directly supervises the Data Management Specialists in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; and rewarding and disciplining employees.
- Ensures calls/emails are answered promptly and operators create tickets, obtaining required information on the children’s placements.
- Responsible for coordinating the workload/training of data services staff.
- Communicates information to case management organizations through agency directors and other staff as appropriate to correct inefficiencies of data provision between case managers and Children’s Network of Hillsborough staff.
- Manages the workload of Data Management Specialists to ensure workflow is steady and backlog is prevented.
- Responsible for the accuracy of validation of payments.
- Ensures accuracy of data entry and integrity with FSFN related requirements.
- Participate in training and development activities as required.
- Report any acts, incidents or conditions that reflect the possibility of inappropriate youth-to-youth or staff-to-youth relationships.
- Report any use of physical force and all unusual incidents per Children’s Network of Hillsborough policy and state guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Working HOurs
Children’s Network of Hillsborough’s standard business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position is an in-office based position that averages 40 hours per week. Work hours may vary outside of these standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to meet operational demands. All hours worked will be compensated in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and agency policies, including applicable overtime and other compensation requirements.
Travel
Travel within and outside of Hillsborough County is required.
Training
All employees are required to complete fifteen (15) hours of training annually, which may be completed online or in a classroom setting. Employees who hold a credential or license relevant to their position must ensure that all training and continuing education requirements are met to maintain their credential or licensure.
Qualifications:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field required, A combination of college coursework and experience at a level commensurate with a bachelor’s degree may substitute for the degree requirement.
- Five years’ computer work experience required, preferably in data management.
- One year of supervisory experience required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Computer experience in a Windows environment, Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), ability to learn and utilize other software programs. Proven ability to provide leadership to staff. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to work independently and utilize initiative, ability to be organized and to meet deadlines. Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities are necessary. The ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships is required.

- A valid driver’s license, clean driver’s license check, and proof of insurance is required.
- No special certification or registration is required for this position.
- Criminal background screening (Fingerprinting~ Local Law Enforcement /FBI / FDLE, and Abuse Registry)
- Drug Screening is a requirement.
- Children’s Network participates in E-Verify

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, board of directors, clients, customers, and the public. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
