About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in an office setting. This includes meeting the communication needs of patients and families, providing care that reflects initiative and responsibility, and maintaining regulatory requirements and office policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care under the supervision of a Provider.
- Communicate effectively with providers and team members about patient clinical conditions.
- Perform quality work within deadlines.
- Interact professionally with other team members, patients, and providers.
Requirements
- Must be Certified.
- Greet patients and register them to the patient portal.
- Triage patients according to HIPAA guidelines.
- Administer nebulizer treatments.
- Call in prescriptions under the direction of the NP/MD.
- Assist in patient call backs under the direction of the CPNP/MD.
- Perform basic lab tests (U/A, UCG, Strep, Flu, RSV).
- Record in-house tests in EMR and link to orders.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
- Keep Laboratory supplies organized and clean.
- Inventory and provide supplies needed to the Office Manager.
- Exam room cleaning and disinfecting in between patients.
- Restocking of supplies in exam rooms daily and as needed.
- Lab and x-ray retrieval.
- Check all demographics in Sevocity.
- Complete community care well visit appointments log-scheduling Patients for appointments.
- Review expiration dates in sample closet.
- Proper disposal of red bags in biohazard containers.
- Referral follow-ups including referral log.
- Recording telephone messages in the EMR and the telephone message log.
