Responsibilities
- Perform biopsychosocial screening and assessment of the families ability to meet their children's healthcare needs by applying specialized knowledge and advance practice skills in assessment treatment, diagnosis of mental illness, planning, implementation and evaluation.
- Facilitate parent/child adjustment to illness and hospitalization.
- Coordinate anticipatory discharge to ensure that patient's home - care is prearranged prior to leaving the hospital.
- Coordinate and direct multidisciplinary patient care conferences focusing both on medical and biopsychosocial needs.
EDUCATION
- Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience required
- State of Texas LMSW license required
- State of Texas LCSW license preferred
