Job Summary
Children's Dental Center is looking to grow with an Orthodontic assistant! We have a rare opportunity and need the skillset of an experienced orthodontic assistant who has leadership qualities with the ability to train. We're seeking individuals with at least 2 year of orthodontic experience to help our existing team grow in orthodontics.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the dentist using 4-handed dentistry
- Taking & developing dental radiographs
- Intra-oral scanning
- Preparing teeth for bonding and debonding
- Assisting in the placement and removal of appliances
- Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; and answering patients' questions
- Ensures accurate patient records (treatment planning, medical history)
- Takes dental impressions and pours models
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; and reporting needed changes
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Prepares treatment rooms including decontamination, sterilization, cleaning handpieces and room, restocks supplies
- Assist in training current team and new hires in orthodontics
Qualifications
- Dental: 2 year (REQUIRED)
- Radiology License (REQUIRED)
- Expanded Functions (Preferred)
- Coronal Polishing (Preferred)
Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
