What are the responsibilities and job description for the Treatment Coordinator position at Children and Family Dentistry?
The treatment coordinator is a key position. The treatment coordinator Evaluates dental insurance information, creates treatment plans in the computer, helps patients to accept treatment, and makes financial arrangements. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Retrieves insurance information for various dental insurance plans, and evaluate benefits.
Organize proposed treatments into a treatment plan
Present the costs of the treatment plan to patients, and have them sign the plan.
Help the patient accept treatment and make financial arrangements for the proposed treatment
Collect patient fees and copayments at the time of check in or check out when necessary
Revise and submit claims to insurance companies
Follow up on unpaid claims
Review and correct rejected claims
Submit pretreatment services along with proper documentation.
Follow up with pretreatment determinations and prior authorizations
Contact patients to follow up on proposed treatments
Help other administrative staff when necessary. May be asked to work the dental receptionist position when necessary
Help keep the office neat and clean
Support and promote teamwork to help make the office a pleasant place to work in.
