Lead Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated lead infant/toddler teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team in August, 2026. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment tailored specifically for our youngest learners. You will oversee classroom activities, implement developmentally appropriate curricula, and mentor assistant teachers to ensure that the highest standards of care and education are maintained.

• Candidates should be able to perform certain physical requirements necessary for working with children with and without disabilities. These physical requirements include but are not limited to: running and walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, sitting on the floor and in small children's chairs, getting up and down from the floor, and lifting children and equipment. Teachers must also have the capacity to provide children with an appropriate speech/language model.

Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, early literacy, and social-emotional growth tailored to toddlers’ needs
• Lead a joyful, play-based classroom that supports all domains of development
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain a cohesive team focused on child welfare and safety
• Conduct ongoing assessments of children’s progress and adapt lesson plans accordingly
• Foster effective communication with parents and guardians regarding children’s development, milestones, and any behavioral or educational concerns
• Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety protocols, and childcare standards within the classroom environment.

Experience

• Must hold a minimum of an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with 1-3 year olds.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management with this age group
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and childcare best practices
• Prior leadership experience as a lead teacher or similar role is preferred; ability to mentor and guide team members effectively
• Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners effectively

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
