Child Care Resources of Rockland, Inc. (CCRR), the regulatory contract agency for Licensed Child Care Programs in Rockland County, New York, is seeking an Early Childhood Education - Standards and Support Specialist to help ensure child care programs are in compliance with current legislation and regulations. The specialist will work collaboratively with CCRR staff, child care program directors, and other agencies in the Child Care Sector.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits to monitor and encourage compliance with applicable regulations/guidelines and provide onsite technical assistance.
- Initiate, process, maintain, and follow up on all program paperwork and database documentation.
- Provide bilingual support, training, and technical assistance as needed.
- Prepare and present professional development seminars.
- Participate in agency events, community engagement, and visibilities as required.
- Prepare reports and contribute content for professional development or newsletters.
- Participate in internal meetings and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- A Bachelor’s or Associates Degree with at least two years’ experience in early childhood education, child care, childhood development, or related field. Child Development Associate National Credential (CDA) a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience in a child care setting.
- Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle; must be able to travel within the tri-state area.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications is required.
Desired:
- Knowledge of Office of Children and Family Services regulations; NYS Early Learning Standards, Core Body of Knowledge, and OCFS Core Competencies.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, proof reading skills, and speaking.
- Database experience.
- Spanish, French, or Yiddish speaking is a plus.
Pay: $23.00 - $31.00 per hour
