What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Center-Direct Support Professional (DSP) position at Child Adult Resource Services?
Child Adult Resource Services, an Equal Opportuinity Employer, is seeking full and part time DSPs for Day Service Center. The Center DSP is responsible for the supervision of activities and the training of individuals as prescribed by each individual’s Person Centered Individual Support Plan (PCISP) and informal training.
Programming:
Provide quality programming and services in the facility.
Implement and provide individual/group instruction to individuals utilizing curriculums developed for training of the goals and objectives
Community:
Provide quality programming and services in the community.
Promote & provide individuals with opportunities for community integration, independence, normalization and least restrictive placement, through individualized program development and implementation
Assist individuals to participate in community activities and services.
Provide community education to establish and maintain good public and community relations. Provide ethical treatment of individuals, and protection of their rights and dignity as persons. Exhibit cooperation, courtesy and professional attitude in interaction with all staff, clients and the general public. Maintain compliance with all agency policies and procedures and applicable standards for assigned program area (i.e. staff ratio) Assist individuals with daily living skills - - money management, self-advocacy, cooking, shopping, communicating, exercising, etc.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $16.50 per hour
