What are the responsibilities and job description for the Waiver-Direct Support Professional position at Child Adult Resource Services?
Child Adult Resource Services, and Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking DSPs for Residential Waiver Services in the Muncie Area.
Must have high school diploma/GED, no criminal history and a safe driving history. The Waiver DSP is responsible for general in-home care, interactive caregiving and actively engaging client(s) in life.
Duties not limited to, but include
- Provide quality services, ethical treatment and protect individuals of their rights and dignity as persons.
- Promote and provide individuals with opportunities for independence, normalization, and least restrictive environment.
- Assist individuals with daily living skills as well as personal daily living skills such as personal hygiene, oral hygiene, toileting, etc. as needed.
- Assist individuals with meal preparation and their laundry.
- Medication reminders
- Light housekeeping
- Conversation and companionship
- Mobility assistance, if needed
- Keeping individuals active and engaged
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
