What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dip Tank Operator/Painter (2nd Shift) position at Chief?
Perform necessary functions to properly handle and paint metal building components utilizing an electrocoat painting process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carries out responsibilities with safety and efficiency as a priority. Prioritizes the well-being of colleagues and actively contributes to the safety program by collaborating, sharing ideas, and voicing concerns. Adheres to training guidelines, policies, and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Proactively identifies and addresses potential hazards.
- Inspects product for dust, oil, rust and other residue prior to painting.
- Maintain compliance to all quality control procedures and standards.
- Perform routine maintenance of assigned machines.
- Comfortably and safely lift up to 70 pounds.
- Operates forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to safely and efficiently transport materials as required.
- Capable of working independently or as a team with minimum supervision.
Education:
- High School Diploma, or GED preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating a collaborative, safe and hazard free environment that is driven by employee involvement. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to leading departmental continuous improvement projects, supporting and executing all safety and health policies and programs, employee training and incident investigations.

- 2nd Shift (4:30 pm - 3:00 am CDT)
