What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic position at Chief?
Perform preventive maintenance and equipment repair as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain proper lubrication of machines.
- Take thermogram readings on a daily basis.
- Fill out equipment operating time sheets daily.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all plant equipment (includes rotating equipment such as motors, gearboxes, and pumps as well as valves, conveyors, heat exchangers and motorized equipment) using hand tools, shop equipment, and some precision tools.
- Make decisions on repair that entail replacing standard parts.
- Operate loader or forklift.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Education:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent, preferred.
