Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients through slicing, dicing, and portioning in accordance with recipes and safety standards
• Cook menu items efficiently while adhering to established recipes and presentation guidelines
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors safely and effectively
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to ensure food safety and sanitation compliance
• Assist in meal preparation for service periods, including plating and garnishing dishes
• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and ensure smooth workflow
• Follow food handling procedures diligently to meet safety standards in production and storage

Experience

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or catering environment is highly preferred
• Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus
• Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for various ingredients
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production
• Experience in menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members in a fast-paced setting

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
