What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Director position at Chick-fil-A Restaurants?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Attend and contribute to all Leadership Meetings
· Actively hold Director team accountable to vision, mission, goals, and behaviors
· Partner with Training Director on the training of Back of House Shift leaders, new back of house team Members and new product roll outs
· Work alongside Director of Operations & Operator to define Chick-fil-A Colonial Heights annual destination and business plan.
· Assist Training Director with on-going & reoccurring quality and back of house training.
· Coach behaviors of back of house shift supervisors & back of house team members
· Align daily practices of the back of house team with the vision & values of the restaurant
· Set team goals, share the score visually and celebrate the wins
· Monitors BOH Labor & Staffing
· Develop, Maintain, Oversee & Adjust back of house systems that set team members up for success
· Ensures Chick-fil-A procedures & expectations are being met all day, every day.
· Identify potential leaders and help them develop and grow both operationally and relationally
· Hold 1-on-1 meetings with Back of House Shift Leaders, A.M & P.M Leads
· Lead & Coach individual BOH projects
· Maintains weekly schedule for back of house
· Hold back of house accountable for commitment to their job descriptions
· Knowledge of all LEAN Systems & continuously evaluate& adjust forecast, thaw cabinet allocation, etc. Ensure execution of LEAN systems during all day parts.
· Oversee truck ordering, travel path & stewardship of inventory
· On-going commitment to Food Cost (Timing & execution of inventory counts, transfer logs, etc, end of month counts)
· Work alongside Food Safety Director to uphold food safety standards
