The Front of House Shift Leader at Chick-fil-A West Pond is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing daily Front of House operations during assigned shifts. This individual ensures that every guest receives exceptional "2nd Mile Service" and that our team consistently delivers craveable food in a welcoming, clean, and safe environment. The Shift Leader will lead, coach, and motivate Team Members, uphold Chick-fil-A's high standards of operational excellence, and contribute to a positive and productive team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Shift Leadership & Oversight
- Lead and manage FOH operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Delegate tasks effectively to Team Members, ensuring all positions are adequately staffed and responsibilities are clear.
- Monitor and maintain FOH cleanliness, organization, and readiness for service.
- Execute opening and/or closing procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Guest Experience & Service Excellence:
- Champion Chick-fil-A's "2nd Mile Service" by actively engaging with guests and ensuring their needs are met with genuine hospitality.
- Proactively resolve guest concerns and complaints with professionalism and a positive attitude, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Ensure speed of service and order accuracy targets are consistently met or exceeded.
- Team Member Development & Coaching:
- Train new FOH Team Members on operational procedures, guest service standards, and Chick-fil-A values.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and encouragement to Team Members to foster their growth and performance.
- Foster a positive and respectful work environment, promoting teamwork and adherence to company policies.
- Operational Standards & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all food safety, quality, and cleanliness standards in the FOH.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, including register reconciliation and safe management, with accuracy and integrity.
- Ensure all Team Members are in proper uniform and adhering to appearance guidelines.
- Communication & Reporting:
- Communicate effectively with the leadership team regarding shift performance, Team Member issues, and guest feedback.
- Assist in documenting incidents, accidents, or policy violations as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant or quick-service environment.
- Strong understanding of Chick-fil-A operational procedures and service standards is highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Proven ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25-50 pounds, and perform physical tasks required in a restaurant setting.
