Team Leader

Position Description

The Team Leader manages expectations to consistently provide remarkable experiences for each guest, all day, every day. This position focuses on the daily operation of the restaurant through effective leadership/management of staff positioning, hospitality, and cleanliness. This position works closely with front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH) Managers to ensure operational goals are met and that our team members are equipped and led to be successful.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team

o Position team members correctly to execute restaurant goals

o Coach and encourage team members in order to foster growth

o Hold team members accountable for executing all LEAN systems (chicken entrees, prep, thawing, etc.) to protect quality and food safety

• Equip your team

o Create a high-energy atmosphere for our team, modeling a sense of urgency without making our guests feel rushed

o Lead by example, setting the standard for doing things the Chick-fil-A way

o Communicate any coaching needs to the Hospitality or Kitchen Director through proper communication channels

• Ensure financial performance

• Effectively manage productivity throughout each shift and send Team Members home early when necessary
• Monitor and reduce waste through proactive coaching and by setting the example

• Open or close the store (as scheduled)
• Communicate daily with fellow team leaders to convey any necessary information and ensure shift changes are executed seamlessly
• Maintain a clean, sanitary environment in FOH or BOH to set the standard of excellence, aid in minimizing food safety risks, and increase team morale

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 16 years old
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Previous leadership experience an asset
• Hard-working
• Team-oriented
• Friendly

• Great customer skills
