Leader in Training Position Overview The Leader in Training (LIT) role is designed to develop future Team Leaders, Shift Leaders, and Directors within our restaurant. This 3–6 month leadership development program provides hands-on experience in all aspects of restaurant operations while equipping high-potential team members with the skills, knowledge, and leadership abilities necessary to take on greater responsibility. This position is ideal for individuals who demonstrate strong character, initiative, a servant's heart, and a desire to lead others while creating remarkable guest experiences. The Leader in Training program exists to intentionally build a pipeline of future leaders by providing mentorship, coaching, and real-world leadership experience. What You Will Learn As a Leader in Training, you will gain experience in: Leading shifts and supporting daily operations Coaching, training, and developing team members Delivering exceptional guest experiences Cash management and accountability Labor management Food safety and quality standards Inventory management Problem-solving and decision-making Communication and conflict resolution Leadership principles and team development Operational excellence and business performance metrics Key Responsibilities Lead and work alongside team members during daily operations Model Chick-fil-A's standards for hospitality and guest service Support shift execution and operational excellence Coach and develop team members through encouragement and accountability Opening and closing procedures Champion a culture of food safety and cleanliness Take ownership of assigned projects and areas of responsibility Demonstrate initiative by identifying opportunities and solving problems Help create a positive and productive team environment Support leaders in achieving sales, service, and operational goals Leadership Expectations Successful Leaders in Training consistently: Work with a sense of urgency Demonstrate excellent guest service Show respect for leaders and fellow team members Take initiative without being asked Maintain a positive attitude under pressure Communicate effectively and professionally Exhibit strong organizational skills Manage time and priorities effectively Hold themselves to a higher standard Make decisions based on what is best for the business Lead by example through their actions and attitude Embrace coaching and seek continuous improvement Consistently live out our core values: Be Kind Hustle Take Ownership Pursue Excellence Growth Path The Leader in Training role is intentionally designed as a leadership pipeline.
