HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?
- You will serve as a strategic partner to organizational leadership by leading procurement strategy, sourcing initiatives, and policy implementation across CPLC programs and subsidiaries.
- You will be responsible for evaluating and recommending vendor selection, sourcing strategies, and contract awards based on cost, quality, risk, and organizational priorities.
- You will exercise independent judgment and discretion in resolving complex procurement issues, interpreting policies, and addressing exceptions that impact organizational operations and compliance.
- You will lead strategic sourcing initiatives to identify cost savings, vendor consolidation opportunities, and value optimization across procurement categories.
- You will conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and spend evaluations to inform procurement strategies and develop data-driven recommendations that influence departmental and organization-wide purchasing decisions.
- You will play a key role in developing, interpreting, and implementing procurement policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.
- You will serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to leadership, this position provides guidance on procurement compliance, policy interpretation, and risk mitigation, supporting consistent, compliant, and strategically aligned purchasing practices across the organization.
- On-the-job training may extend up to one year, during which the Procurement Analyst will be trained on core job functions. Relevant certifications may be required or obtained during employment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in procurement or purchasing card administration, including experience with purchasing cards, contracts, and the full procurement lifecycle; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal procurement laws, regulations, and guidelines for the acquisition of goods and services in a public or municipal setting, as well as familiarity with CPLC policies and procedures.
- This position requires driving on behalf of the company. Candidates must hold a valid AZ driver’s license, meet the company’s motor vehicle record (MVR) standards, meet company’s insurance eligibility, and comply with all state and federal driving requirements. Ongoing employment is contingent upon maintaining an acceptable driving record.
- Proficiency with computers, related hardware, and software systems applicable to procurement functions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
- Ability to analyze data, identify issues, develop solutions, and present findings in a clear and logical manner.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, employees, managers, and external agencies.
- Ability to resolve issues and customer concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Skill in reviewing work for accuracy and providing guidance or technical assistance as needed.
