What are the responsibilities and job description for the Imaging Clerk position at Chicago & Vicinity Laborers' District Council Funds?
We are seeking a highly motivated and detailed orientated individual to join our team as a Imaging Clerk. This position requires a variety of experience and skills relating to mail operations, data entry, address updates for returned mail and proof document verification, as well as the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate proof documents received for authenticity and completeness and key them into Vitech.
- Investigate bad addresses for returned mail and update the address information in Vitech;
- Identify member, patient, provider, provider tax ID number, coding, diagnosis and other claim information for accurate recording of information and key claim particulars for mail received into the Formworks;
- Interface with members, local union offices and employers on the telephone and in writing;
- Ability to complete interoffice mail runs and mail pickups at designated times; and
- Work overtime when business needs dictate it.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Candidate must possess:
- Basic PC/WINDOWS knowledge;
- Data entry and/or mail operations experience is preferred;
- Proficient in Microsoft Word is essential;
- Analytical skills;
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;
- Ability to learn all aspects of mail operations including operating a scanner, insert machine and postage machine and any other equipment as needed;
- Ability to perform all aspects of mail preparation including sorting into designated categories (including PPO versus non-PPO for RX receipts) for scanning into the imaging system to achieve rapid distribution;
- Ability to maintain minimum production standards and keying accuracy ratio;
- Ability to adapt with an ever-changing environment;
- Regular and consistent attendance is required;
- Be able to work as a part of a team.
This is a full-time non-exempt bargained position that offers excellent health, dental, vision and pension benefits as well as a paid time off, a member assistance program and the option to participate in a voluntary employee funded 401k plan. Regular work hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 3:30pm however job duties may require flexibility as needed.

Pay: $30.75 - $39.06 per hour
