If yes, here’s how you will contribute to the team:
As the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will assist in the delivery of physical therapy services to residents in accordance with established treatment plans and goals. Your role will focus on promoting mobility, strength, and overall functional independence for residents, while ensuring they receive the highest level of personalized care.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the implementation of physical therapy treatment plans developed by the physical therapist.
- Conducting therapy sessions with residents to improve their physical function and mobility.
- Monitoring patient progress and documenting changes in their condition.
- Educating residents and their families about exercises, activities, and techniques to improve function.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to assess resident needs and provide holistic care.
- Maintaining accurate patient records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements governing physical therapy services and facility policies.
Must Have:
- 1-3 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program.
- Current and unencumbered Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state.
- Knowledge of physical therapy principles, practices, and techniques.
- Familiarity with long-term care environments and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
- CPR Certification
- Driver’s License
- Auto Insurance
- Physical Exam (within 6 months from hire)
- TB Clearance (within 6 months from hire)
Nice to Have:
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
- Experience working with elderly or disabled patients.
- Familiarity with rehabilitation equipment and modalities.
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid therapy regulations.
