We're expanding our team and looking for a dependable, skilled Equipment Manager/Mechanic who takes pride in keeping vehicles and equipment safe, reliable, and ready for the workday. What You'll Do
As our Equipment Manager/Mechanic, you'll help keep our crews productive by maintaining and repairing trucks, trailers, and equipment used throughout our landscape, maintenance, irrigation, and nursery operations. Responsibilities include:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on company trucks, trailers, and landscape equipment
- Diagnose and repair gas and diesel engines, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, steering, suspension, and other mechanical components
- Service and repair various types of landscape equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and provide field support when breakdowns occur
- Complete seasonal equipment preparation and winterization
- Maintain accurate service, inspection, and repair records
- Track parts and supplies and communicate repair needs, priorities, and estimated completion times
- Coordinate outside repairs, inspections, and warranty service when needed
- Order necessary equipment parts/tools
- Keep the shop, tools, and work areas organized, clean, and safe
What We're Looking For
· Valid Class E driver's license and insurable driving record (required)
· Experience maintaining and repairing trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, or landscape equipment
· Knowledge of gas and diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, brakes, and preventive maintenance
· Ability to use diagnostic tools and troubleshoot mechanical problems
· Ability to safely lift at least 50 pounds and work in a shop or outdoor environment
· Strong organization, communication, attention to detail, and pride in workmanship
· Ability to prioritize repairs and work independently while supporting a team
