Heavy Equipment Mechanic Job Summary
Titan Truck & Equipment Co. is looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to assist with preventative maintenance and repairs of heavy equipment in the field and shop. You will travel to various job sites (service truck provided) to make electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs on equipment such as excavators, loaders, compact equipment, paving equipment, and more. Applicants should have some experience with diesel heavy equipment repair so they can determine what parts and tools are necessary for repairs. You must be able to use a tablet and laptop to run diagnostic tests and document repair information. You need a valid driver's license to travel to job sites.
Heavy Equipment Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities
· Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs as well as preventative maintenance.
· Troubleshoot issues with diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical systems. Must be able to use diagnostic software provided, (Cat ET, Insite, etc.)
· Determine what parts and tools are necessary to make repairs. Order parts as needed.
· Document repairs in service history software.
· Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Heavy Equipment Mechanic Requirements and Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED certificate (beneficial, not required).
· Vocational, Technical or Diesel school or training as a mechanic (beneficial, not required).
· 2 to 5 years of experience with diesel/heavy equipment repair.
· Welding experience (a plus).
· Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
