Minimum Qualifications
Associate‘s degree in business, insurance or related field; three years of experience in claims processing, underwriting or accounting; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Working knowledge of automotive warranty programs for major automotive manufacturers; of automotive vehicles and their components. General understanding of fleet operations to include knowledge of fueling, warranty/recall, and motor pool operations. Ability to interpret and apply manufacturer vehicle warranty programs, claims processes and payments. Strong working knowledge of computer applications including automated financial/fleet management information systems, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to work independently as well as a cohesive member of a team; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work at all levels within a large, diverse organization.
Current valid driver’s license and good driving record required. Based on the Virginia DMV point system, record must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months. Out of state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview. Records must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date.
Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
Duties
Performs administration functions for the divisions fuel program including, reconciling fuel transactions, processing billing, and reviewing customer fuel usage. Generates regular and ad hoc reporting related to fueling operations. Prepares and processes purchase orders, receives, and processes invoices, provides customer service to internal and external vendors. Coordinates the Motor Pool operations for the Fleet rental vehicles, overseeing marketing efforts, maintenance schedules, and rental logistics. Approving and processing payments to external vendors for repair work such as glass replacement and repair, accident/body work, and vehicle towing, ensuring all charges comply with county contract pricing and Risk Management tracking purposes. Performs monthly Risk Management reconciliations. Prepares and processes automotive warranty claims in accordance with warranty policies and follows up on reimbursement from manufactures or vendors. Researches, identifies, and receives information on automotive recalls and technical service bulletins from major automotive manufactures and coordinates repair work with customers. Updates an automated information system to monitor claim status and prepares claim status reports. Perform other work as required.
