What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Processor position at Chesapeake Search Partners?
CSP is partnering with a privately held real estate lender seeking a Loan Processor. This individual is the operational engine of the loan pipeline. They will manage files from submission through closing, keep all parties aligned, and ensure nothing slows down without a reason. This is a high-volume, detail-driven role that requires both speed and accuracy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review incoming loan files for completeness before entering underwriting
• Manage pipeline stages from Submission through Closing
• Collect outstanding documents from borrowers and brokers
• Coordinate with Account Executives, underwriters, and the closing team
• Clear conditions efficiently and track all open items to resolution
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in Zoho CRM
• Communicate proactively on file status, timelines, and blockers
• Escalate any issues that threaten closing timelines immediately
REQUIREMENTS
• 2 years of mortgage or private/hard money loan processing experience strongly preferred
• Non-QM, bridge, or fix and flip lending experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable managing a high-volume pipeline with competing deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with CRM platforms; Zoho CRM familiarity is a plus
• Organized, detail-oriented, and accountable to deadlines
• Comfortable communicating via phone
• Must be available to work in person in Baltimore, MD full-time
