CSP has partnered with a client seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide day-to-day HR support within a unionized environment. This role serves as a key HR partner to employees and managers, focusing on employee relations, labor relations support, and HR operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. This role is on-site four days a week in Baltimore, and one remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and managers in a unionized workforce.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, performance management, attendance, and workplace conduct.
- Support labor relations by maintaining positive relationships with union representatives and responding to day-to-day inquiries.
- Ensure consistent application of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and HR policies.
- Conduct or support investigations and recommend fair, consistent outcomes.
- Contribute to HR initiatives including onboarding, employee engagement, and compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant labor laws and HR best practices.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on employee relations and generalist responsibilities.
- Minimum of 2–3 years working directly in a unionized environment.
- Experience interpreting and applying collective bargaining agreements preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance practices.
Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
