- Develop and implement infection prevention and control programs based on national standards.
- Follow transmission-based precautions, including isolation protocols, to prevent infection spread.
- Record incidents, conduct outbreak investigations, and collaborate with healthcare authorities.
- Perform initial skin assessments for new residents and monitor changes in residents' conditions.
- Obtain and document wound measurements, assess wound healing, and ensure proper dressing techniques.
- Conduct daily rounds to monitor prevention interventions and infection control practices.
- Partner with facility leaders and healthcare providers to promote wound and infection management.
- Licensed RN or LPN with graduation from an accredited nursing school.
- Understanding of safe nursing practices and infection control principles.
- Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel.
- Strong communication skills, personal integrity, and a compassionate approach.
- Ability to handle confidential information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
