Summary of Nuclear Med Tech (PET/CT) Role

Responsibilities include: Operating radiation detectors, scanning apparatus, and related equipment to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures such as General Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, and PET/CT exams.

Qualifications Required

  • ARRT/NMTCB Certification
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program approved by ARRT
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree, with completion of an accredited sonography program in Echocardiography
  • Minimum of one-year experience in General Nuclear Medicine, including Bone Density, and one-year experience in PET/CT
  • Experience with DSpect Cardiac Camera, Siemens Symbia T Spect Camera, Philips 128 Slice PET/CT, Client Bone Density Scanner, and NMIS Unit Dose Manager

Key duties: Utilize specialized equipment and radionuclides to support diagnosis and treatment of functional disorders, requiring advanced technical skills and knowledge in nuclear medicine imaging techniques.
