Responsibilities
- Prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for materials, products, and services.
- Reviews purchase order claims for discrepancies and coordinates with leadership to resolve any defects or delivery issues.
- Maintains and tracks records of all purchased items, including costs, deliveries, and inventory levels.
- Coordinates payment processing for all purchased commodities.
- Ensures all purchasing activities are in compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Assists with negotiating rebates and developing strategies for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.
- Associate’s degree in business administration or other related field, and zero (0) to two (2) years of purchasing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of business concepts, including purchasing of assets and replenishment of inventory.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn purchasing and inventory specific programs.
- Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
- Ability to identify problems and review information to develop, evaluate, and implement solutions.
