Responsibilities
- Communicate via radio, telephone, and verbally in accordance with established orders and communication protocols.
- Interact with and escort public and government personnel as required, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Provide access control and traffic control, and conduct walking and motorized armed security patrols to ensure the safety and security of personnel and property.
- Follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and government regulations related to the security of weapons, buildings, personnel, government property, and equipment.
- Conduct personnel, vehicular, building, and facility inspections, including package and parcel screenings, in alignment with established security requirements.
- Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational and mission needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of overall security operations.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Armed Security Guard certification through DCJS.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Certified in use of Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Spray.
- Certified in use of Batons.
- Minimum of one year experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization.
- Possess a current CPR certification through the American Red Cross.
- Successfully be able to meet PAT physical agility standards as set forth by customer.
- 1.5 mile run in 17:30 minutes
- 19 push-ups in 2 minutes
