The Armed Security Officer provides first response to emergencies, enforces federal law and assimilated state law, and conducts mobile patrols.
Responsibilities
- Provide access control, traffic control and conduct walking and motorized armed security functions.
- Conduct personnel, vehicular, building, & facility checks and package & parcel inspections.
- Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays if needed.
- Other duties as assigned
- List Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Two years of service in the United States Armed Services (including Reserve or National Guard), or
- Any combination of two years of experience in physical security (as a security officer - armed or unarmed) and service with the United States Armed Services (including Reserves or National Guard), or
- Associate's degree in a Security or Law Enforcement related field, or successful completion of a police officer’s basic training academy.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
- List Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
- Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
