Job Title: Loan Operations Commercial Specialist
Here’s how you’ll make an impact
Performs a variety of duties in support of the commercial lending function in order to ensure compliance with lending regulations, accuracy and timely processing of lending transactions, and prompt and professional service to internal and external clients.
- Performs boarding on all commercial loans with more complexity and structure including but not limited to Syndicates, multi-layered Master Agreements, SWAP loans, and Sold & Purchased Participation loans. Involves reviewing and comprehending complex Credit Agreements and other commercial documentation.
- Performs daily, weekly, monthly updates for rate changes, advances, and payments for participation loans. Ensure that we stay in balance with lead bank. Ensuring monetary transactions and rate changes are done timely to avoid any unnecessary past due or out of balance situations.
- Performs daily, weekly, monthly rate changes for the entire loan portfolio based on published rate.
- Prepare and input wires for Participation Payments & New Loan Funding’s.
- Reviews/Processes daily reports, ticklers, non-post transactions, and reconciliations for accuracy and exceptions within the Commercial and Business Banking areas.
- Prepares and reviews various loan documents and communications to clients, including notices, reminders, statements, payoffs, and other correspondence.
- Oversees all CRA data entry, completes reports to ensure all CRA data is accurate before the Compliance Department Files.
- Assists with the SBA reporting, communicates issues & resolutions to loan officers. Researches and maintains knowledge of all guidance that is published by the Small Business Administration.
- Maintains relationships with all participating bank’s servicing areas, maintains & updates contacts for Loan Operations & Audit purposes.
- Maintains knowledge of all loan documentation requirements. Confirms accuracy and completeness of work of other loan servicing personnel. Updates and maintains loan information on computer systems.
- Researches errors, resolves problems, responds to inquiries, and makes appropriate adjustments in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Demonstrates knowledge of all lending and loan servicing regulations and procedures to provide support and guidance.
- Understands the current LAS operating system and requests changes to system specifications as appropriate to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Prepares, as assigned, and maintains knowledge of applicable regulations. Reviews and recommends changes to fulfill regulatory requirements.
- Conforms to General Performance Expectations as identified for all employees.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Associates degree in a business related field of study preferred
- Specialized training in loan servicing, specifically in commercial and participation loans
- Four or more years experience and/or formal training in related position preferred
- Knowledge of lending policies/regulations Required
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Premier
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
Salary Range $19 to $29 Hourly
Compensation offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education and, where applicable, licenses or certifications obtained.
