Job Title: Commercial Credit Specialist
Here’s how you’ll make an impact
Supports the Commercial Credit department by providing administrative and credit underwriting support, credit file maintenance and providing excellent internal/external customer support:
- Oversees the receipt, tracking, and maintenance of financial and other credit information received from commercial loan clients; Responsible for overseeing and maintaining financial ticklers and covenants in Sageworks and ensuring their accuracy on a monthly basis; Responsible for the development and maintenance of the Loan Administration Module in Sageworks.
- Prepares various monthly, quarterly and annual reports; orders individual credit reports and other trade references; responds to credit reference inquiries and bank confirmations.
- Prepares and compiles data for both Senior Loan and Directors’ Loan Committee meetings; prepares and distributes minutes of loan committee meetings in a timely fashion.
- Underwrites Business Banking requests through the auto-decision model and prepares credit presentation
- Primary contact and support for the SBA initiative by facilitating the process through E-Tran
- Manages and generates tickler correspondence to send to customers upon financial document due dates. Collaborates with the Commercial Loan Department to track and collect financial statements for new and existing relationships
- Communicates through letters, emails and memos with both internal and external clients; responds to clients with accurate information
- Prioritizes and routes incoming calls and correspondence and responds independently when appropriate to ensure action/attention required is addressed. Handles confidential and time-sensitive materials and ensures supervisor is aware of any potential issues.
- Maintains an awareness of policies and procedures related to commercial lending, including the Bank’s lending, risk rating and loan review policies
- Conforms to General Performance Expectations as identified for all employees.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, 2-3 years experience in related field preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with clients and all levels of management
- High level of attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required; Knowledge and use of Sageworks preferred
- Strong organizational skills, flexibility and proven ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment, take initiative and work independently as appropriate along with strong project management skills.
- Ability to deal with sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
Salary Range $19 to $29 Hourly
Compensation offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education and, where applicable, licenses or certifications obtained.
