What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller III position at Chemelex?
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial operations for the North American region, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Lead preparation of monthly financial statements (income statement and balance sheet) and supplemental reporting
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Manage accounts receivable processes including collections, credit management, and cash application
- Manage accounts payable operations including vendor invoice processing and payment scheduling
- Ensure timely and accurate payments while optimizing cash flow and working capital
- Support Global Treasury with cash forecasting support
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX compliance, and corporate policies
- Lead audits and regulatory reporting
- Manage and develop a high-performing finance team across accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting functions
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
- Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
- Support the value creation office to drive automation, process improvements and finance transformation to further drive efficiencies and cost savings
You Have
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA preferred
- 10 years of progressive experience in financial management preferred
- 5 years of managerial experience preferred
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SOX
- Experience in global manufacturing preferred
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong proficency in Excel and all Microsoft Office products
- Proficiency in SAP preferred
- Proficiency in OneStream preferred
