Responsibilities
- Lead activity programming for a diverse population while keeping participants
- Assist the Activity Director in developing and coordinating a successful activities program.
- Provide appropriate activity programs that meet the physical, social, cultural,
- Drive participants on scheduled community outings in a safe manner using the Adult Day Center vehicle.
- Assist in meeting participant's other needs, e.g. toileting, transfers, meal service.
- Other duties/projects as assigned by the Activity Director.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend and squat for prolonged periods.
- Ability to push, pull objects and lift/carry up to 20 pounds unassisted on a frequent basis and up to 50 pounds or more with assistance on occasion.
- Ability to interact effectively with clients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, the general public and other staff members.
