Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-time Nannies/Sitters to provide attentive childcare support for families in the Westchester area (Scarsdale, White Plains, Mount Kisco, Chappaqua). Duties
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and fun
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to dietary needs and preferences
- Assist with daily routines such as diapering, dressing, nap times, and playtime
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by performing light housekeeping tasks related to childcare
- Provide basic first aid when necessary and handle minor injuries or emergencies promptly
- Support children with developmental activities, including preschool learning exercises and toddler care
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s progress, needs, and daily updates
Skills
- Candidates must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle
- Proven experience working with children across different age groups, including infants and toddlers
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques
- First aid certification to ensure safety during emergencies
- Ability to cook simple, healthy meals and snacks for children
- Experience in caregiving for children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong organizational skills to manage routines and household tasks efficiently
- Compassionate, patient, and energetic attitude with excellent communication skills
