Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full-time Nanny to provide exceptional care for children in a nurturing and engaging environment. There are two live in or live out opportunities in Chappaqua, NY and Scarsdale, NY, more details can be provided.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care for children, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Candidate must be comfortable driving children to and from activities/school
- Stay overight when needed
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to children’s dietary needs and preferences
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and physical development
- Assist with daily routines such as bathing, dressing, nap times, and playtime
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by performing light housekeeping tasks related to childcare, including cleaning toys and children's areas
- Support children with developmental milestones and educational activities, including teaching basic skills and encouraging curiosity
- Administer first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or health concerns
- Collaborate with parents to ensure consistency in routines and communicate daily updates on the children's progress
Experience
- Proven experience working with children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Knowledge of childcare best practices, child development stages, and safety protocols
- Experience in nannying or babysitting within a family setting or daycare environment
- Familiarity with meal preparation suitable for children with various dietary needs
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs when required
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly preferred
- Prior experience involving caregiving tasks such as cleaning, organizing activities, or teaching young children
