Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Manage guest inquiries efficiently, providing excellent guest relations and resolving issues promptly
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Process payments accurately using POS systems and handle cash transactions with proper cash handling procedures
- Support opening or closing duties as needed, including setup and sanitation tasks
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles, including fine dining or nightclub environments, is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relations
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance the guest experience
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for billing and cash handling purposes
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights; previous host/host or bussing experience is advantageous
